I finally got to read Second Coming yesterday after putting off buying it for so long.
While the crossover as a whole was a great story it was in the end of the first act that I think it delivered it’s strongest point.
The death of Kurt Wagner was something that I knew happened, but even with that prior knowledge it hit me like a ton of bricks. I was already welling up with tears when it happened, but the end of the issue… Wolverine’s reaction to it was just perfect in every way.
I’ve never cried so much over a comic, and then the next part of the crossover with Kurt’s funeral and eulogy just made it worse.
